In religion, folklore, and mythology a demon (or daemon, dæmon, daimon from Greek: δαίμων daimōn) is a supernatural being that is generally described as a malevolent spirit. In Christian terms demons are generally understood as fallen angels, formerly of God. A demon is frequently depicted as a force that may be conjured and insecurely controlled. The "good" demon in recent use is largely a literary device (e.g., Maxwell's demon), though references to good demons can be found in Hesiod and Shakespeare. In colloquial parlance, to "demonize" a person means to characterize or portray them as evil, or as a source of evil. The mythical Sweeney Todd was accorded the title Demon Barber of Fleet Street in a 1936 film. The 19th-century Australian cricketer Fred Spofforth was nicknamed "the Demon (Bowler)", partly because of his tactic of inspiring fear in batsmen.

How does chris know that he isn't being influenced by demons?
Q. I mean, wouldnt a demon working though you make it appear that you were right? Or do you think chris has superpowers that lets him detect and defeat demons? Alternatively, don't you think its possible that chris is suffering from some kind of delusion?

A. demons are just personifications of the bad things or the cause of bad things. people at the time just took it too far and that's why today we have people who think that it is an actual entity. angels, gods, are all the same. god or gods are personification of good things. that's why for some people, when a good thing happens, they say "thank god" without really thinking it through.

Would it be possible for a demon to repent?
Q. This is a strange question, I know. But from what I gather, demons have free will, just like people. Could it ever happen that a demon could repent? Could he feel sorry for his malfeasance, and ask God for forgiveness? Or is this not possible?
